I could never think that all of these complex equations and solutions and different sort of chemicals might be interesting, what makes the field so interesting to you?

Intellectual curiosity. Forget about the idea of understanding the mysteries of the universe, etc.
Or trying to convince your friends that chemistry is the basis of everything. They won't care.
You do it for yourself, and wanting an intellectual challenge. The study of chemistry is tough, and you probably won't get wealthy, but you will get satisfaction. And you probably won't regret going to work everyday.
Your associates are not going to be dumb, and you won't be a cog in a giant wheel. You will be able to see your efforts contribute to a greater good.
Being a chemist should mean you have an organized mind; able to balance many different tasks at one time. Always curious and asking questions.

It's interesting because it is a foundation of our lifestyle. Chemicals need to be produced as a change from one thing to another, often in complex processes. All western medicine, all electronics, all fabrics, fireproofing, metals processing, cash bills (ink), food as fertilizers and pesticides, transportation for both the fuel and the things to make vehicles, etc. Basically, everything in our lives involves some aspect of chemicals either directly or indirectly.

Hello,
I find it interesting because it explains nearly EVERYTHING from the smallest quark to the composition of the universe. It explains the nature of human existence and how each molecule of our body and its systems works with other molecules, stimulate electricity in nerves, and bring to life the human! It explains why we see color and why light bulbs emit light and heat. It explains why matter changes states and how the particles move in them. Chemistry is the one-stop knowledge shop. <<

chemistry, a branch of science concerned with the properties, structures and composition of substances and their reactions with one another. Inorganic chemistry studies the preparation, properties and reaction of all chemical elements and their compounds, which are 100 times more numerous than non organic ones. It also studies an immense variety of molecules, including those of industrial compounds such as plastics , rubber, dyes. drugs and solvents. Physical chemistry deals with physical properties of substances such as their boiling and melting points...

Chemistry makes the basis of understanding the entire universe, making it the channel for understanding A LOT of other really cool things.
