x=(20*1)/240=0,Hope I helped!......
3. You have 20 g of a buckyball (C20). How many moles do you have?
(Points : 1)
0.08 mol <---- I know it is this answer but why? PLEASE EXPLAIN!

0.16 mol

1.00 mol

1.70 mol

-
The number of moles simply means that in 1 mol substance you have 6*10^23 atoms/molecules etc.
The buckyball is a molecule which contains 20 carbons whixh are bonded to each-other in a certain way, thus if we say that I have 1 mol buckyball we mean that we have 6*10^23 of those 20carbon molecules.
Since every atom has a weight we can determine a so called molar weight. By molar weight we mean the weight of those 6*10^23 atoms/molecules.
Now we already determined that 1mol buckyball contains 20 moles of carbon, so the weight of 1 mol buckyball equals the weight of 20 mol carbon atoms.
1 mol carbon weighs 12 gramms, so 1 mol, buckyball weighs 240 gramms, thus the molar weight of the buckyball is 240 gramms.
From here its just math:
If 1mol buckyball weighs 240 gramms, then x mol buckyball weighs 20 gramms.
x=(20*1)/240=0,08

Hope I helped!
