Please explain the keywords, shell, sub-shell and orbital

I understand the whole concept of shells and orbitals but I keep messing up the keywords, please explain the differences

A SUBSHELL contains ORBITALS

for example a P subshell contains 3 orbitals each containing 2 electrons.

shell is like n=1 n=2 etc which is the principle quantum number which basically means


for carbon the electron config = 1s2 2s2 2p2. n=1 contains 2 electrons
n=2 contains 8 ( due to p SUBSHELL and S SUBSHELL ( 2+6 = 8)
