I understand the whole concept of shells and orbitals but I keep messing up the keywords, please explain the differences
thank you

A SUBSHELL contains ORBITALS
for example a P subshell contains 3 orbitals each containing 2 electrons.
shell is like n=1 n=2 etc which is the principle quantum number which basically means
for carbon the electron config = 1s2 2s2 2p2. n=1 contains 2 electrons
n=2 contains 8 ( due to p SUBSHELL and S SUBSHELL ( 2+6 = 8)
