........
give the maximum number of electrons that can have these quantum numbers

________ n = 3 , L = 2

_________ n= 4 , mL = -2

_________ n = 2 , L = 0

_________ n = 2, L = 1 , ms = +1/2

_________ n = 3 , mL = +3

with the steps please

-
n = 3 , L = 2
refers to the 3rd shell D- orbitals , they can hold 10 electrons

n= 4 , mL = -2
that mL refers to an individual D or F orbital of the 4th shell, an individual orbital holds 2 electrons
being that it could be either 2 electrons in the 4D or tghe 4F, your answer is 4 electrons

n = 2 , L = 0
refers to the 2nd shell S-orbital, an S- orbital can hold 2 electrons

n = 2, L = 1 , refers to the 6 electrons in the three P orbitals of the 2nd shell
ms = +1/2 refers the 1st electron out of the 2 that to get into each those 3 orbitals , Px, Py, Pz
that's 3 electrons

n = 3 , refers to the 3rd shell...
the mL = +3 refers to an individual F-orbital which are not in the 3rd shell
your answer is "zero"
