Okay So I understand basic dimensional analysis but problems with a certain value per certain value confuses me.
I AM NOT ASKING FOR THE ANSWER, (unless you want to give it to me) but simply how would I set up the dimensional analysis?
Convert 185 milligrams of cholesterol PER deciliter of blood into grams of cholesterol PER milliliter of blood.
I guess i'd start my conversion with:
185mg / 1 dL
Thanks!

185 mg/dL to g/mL requires that mg be converted to g and dL to mL.
1 g = 1000 mg
1 L = 10 dL
1 L = 1000 mL
185 mg/dL x (1 g / 1000 mg) = 0.185 g/dL
0.185 g/dL x (10 dL / 1 L) x (1 L / 1000 mL) = 0.00185 g/mL
1 g = 1000 mg
1 L = 10 dL
1 L = 1000 mL
185 mg/dL x (1 g / 1000 mg) = 0.185 g/dL
0.185 g/dL x (10 dL / 1 L) x (1 L / 1000 mL) = 0.00185 g/mL
