HW HELP - Basic Calculus Problem Concerning Finding A Limit On A Graph

Hope that helps.-Derp.......
Let g(x) = (5x^2 + 17x + 14)/(x+2)

What is the limit of g(x) as x approaches -2?

How would I show this on my graph?

-
Alright, realize the top is factorable of that equation.

I'll save you some elementary algebra and just give it to you.

(x+2)(5x+7)/(x+2)

Cancel.

5(-2)+7 = -3

How to represent: You put an open circle at the coordinate point (-2,-3) and then draw the rest of your graph.

Hope that helps.
