My question is, could you count that as two energy transformations? Instead of
CHEMICAL POTENTIAL ENERGY>>HEAT AND LIGHT ENERGY
could you have
CHEMICAL POTENTIAL ENERGY>>HEAT ENERGY
and
CHEMICAL POTENTIAL ENERGY>>LIGHT ENERGY
???

Yes, they are two different types of energies. Chemical potential energy will be equal to their sum but greater than any of them taken individually.
