What ruling should I get?

Jackie M say: If you can prove the epilepsy caused you unknowingly to accidentally kick the police officer then you should be ok but if charged and convicted with kicking police officer then about 3 years in prison, UK

MARK say: You have come to the wrong place. You should not be posting this question on the Internet and a Botany forum is not relevant.

Obviously, we need to bear in mind that we are only hearing your version of events. We are all capable of convincing ourselves that an event happened in a way that is different to the way it happened. However, it is an entirely possible scenario. My partner has epilepsy and one night after a seizure he woke and turned violent (the only time ever). I phoned an ambulance because I did not know what to do. When the ambulance arrived they would not enter our house without police back-up. I was livid and convinced them they were wrong.

What you do need to do is to contact a lawyer who specialises in criminal defence. Put it into the hands of the appropriate professional. You will almost certainly be convicted, if charged, if you attempt to handle this alone.

say: The charge will be up to the DA (the police can lay charges, the DA decides if they want to prosecute you).

Get an attorney now. If you have a medical condition like epilepsy, that should be easy enough to convince the DA you had no intent to commit assault and did not deliberately assault the police officer.

My stepfather was a diabetic and during a low blood sugar attack would act very erratically. 911 was called more than once and during one episode, he slugged one of the fireman. No charges were ever filed.
