Is it the same as hormone replacement therapy or are they different? Is it about going from male to female? Or is it about menopause, breast cancer, etc? I'm really confused and would love an explanation!! ):

Hormone therapy refers to taking hormones for a certain purpose. There are a lot of different hormones, and there are a lot of different reasons for taking them. So it's a very general term. Hormone replacement therapy is one category of hormone therapy. It can be about menopause, breast cancer, or changing your sex, and many other things, too.

i believe hormone therapy may be used to treat a number of medical problems or abnormalities including those listed above. the actual explanation of hormone therapy is very complicated because it is quite specific for each case. if you are interested in one case that hormone therapy might be used you would be better off googling that for an explanation of the specific case
