Where is the observable evidence for Darwinian evolution

Or the universal genetic code. It is evidence that all living organisms, including bacteria, animals, plants, fungi,......
But there is observable evidence.

Take the fossil record. It is observable. Now ask if this is more consistent with Darwinian evolution showing a clear record of transitions between forms, or with an alternative theory such as Creationism. Which theory includes a catastrophic flood capable of drowning large numbers of animals and laying down thick continent wide sedimentary layers capable of burying them and fossilizing them.

Or the universal genetic code. It is observable. Is this consistent with random development from a common ancestor or a common designer?

Take the observable similarity in our genes with those of chimps. It's now estimated to be 70% similar, containing so many variations that evolution would have to have fixed about 67 mutations per generation. Compare this to Haldane's estimate that it would take at least 30 generations to fix a single mutation.

Of course, some processes are too slow to observe. You just have to accept these on faith.

With observable evidence like this how can you possibly doubt that evolution is true?

It is everywhere. Take the fossil record. It is observable. Or the universal genetic code. It is evidence that all living organisms, including bacteria, animals, plants, fungi, single celled eukaryotes, share the same DNA codes for the same amino acids. Take the similarity in our genes with those of chimps.

Of course, some processes are too slow to observe. Take, for example, the sun. It has been around for 4.5 billion years, but it will one day run out of nuclear fuel and become a white dwarf. Will anybody be able to observe the sun turning from the current state to a white dwarf? Pretty unlikely, because it could take several billion years for that to happen. Of course biological evolution is much faster than the evolution of the sun, but no human being live long enough to see one species change into another. Claiming that evolution is not observable is like a mayfly saying that there is no such thing as spring, summer, winter and fall, because a mayfly only lives no more than a day and therefore it can never observe the changing of the seasons.
