Is it linked to homeostatis, as in, the same bodily process? thanks.

It is linked to homeostasis because maintaining proper glucose levels in blood plasma and also enough available in cells so that the amount is correct to maintain isotonic conditions in the blood plasma and provide enough glucose for ATP production in the mitochondria of the cells.
Homeostasis refers to a very wide concept, meaning that the cells and interstitial fluids of the body and the blood plasma have concentrations that maintain isotonic conditions so that there is not a large uptake or outflow of water from the cells to the blood or vice versa. It also refers to nutrient digestion and absorption, waste product excretion, body temperature regulation, and every balance of biochemistry in the body.
Glucoregulation has to do specifically with cells absorbing glucose (with the help of insulin) from the blood in the proper amounts to keep glucose from building up in the plasma (diabetes) or from being absorbed too quickly so the blood sugar falls drastically, which can happen when too much insulin is produced (hypoglycemia) or not enough food has been eaten over a period of time.
