A phospholipid is made up of two fatty acids and a molecule that contains a phosphate group. So no, a phosphlipid isn't technically a fatty acid. However, it is made up of two fatty acid molecules, and, of course, a molecule that contains a phosphate group.

Phospholipids are made from fatty acids and glycerol as a result I would not say that they are fatty acids but rather have fatty acids as a component.

I don't think so.
I believe it has a glycerol backbone with 2 fatty acids joined on and a phosphate group
Hope that helps :)
