Sex drive is directly and indirectly related to several hormonal and chemical metabolic processes that occur in various regions of the human body, most notably the limbic system of the central nervous system.
The limbic system controls several things like emotions, motivation, sex drive, hunger, and memory retention.
Realistically, there is probably no way to quantify this at the present time. However, physically there is a chemical reason that men and women have a certain level of motivation in this area.
One more point would be that, throughout evolution, male organisms have had to 'fight' for female mates. It is rarely the other way around. This could have led to an increased sex drive for males due to their biological need to devote more energy to the pursuit of a mate. Over time, chemical adaptations may have occurred in the appropriate regions of the body to increase sex drive in males, and female sex drive did not have a need to increase. This way of looking at it keys in on the theory of evolution and propagation of genes.

no way to quantify it that suits standards of empirical evidence because you're relying on self report
for instance, one person's classification of snarky comments may seem normal and not at all distasteful to another individual

Well may be, but if a woman don't want sex you do not get it. it is a mans world but a woman's choice so there you have it.but over all i think a man has a higher sex drive.
