If evolution is real then where did the first cell come from

Evolution does not deal with the origin of life, but the question of where the first cell came from is a good one. It is just a pity that you pre-judge the answer with your Atheists: 0 Christians, Jews, Moslems: 1 rubbish. The answer is not simple, but here is a video which might help:

Evolution is no more required to explain where the first cell came from, than the theory of gravity is disproved if we don't know where gravity came from.

Or to put it another way ... saying that evolution is not real until we know how it started, is like waking up to find your house is on fire, but refusing to accept that the fire is real until you know how the fire started.

It is a LAME argument that proves nothing except that you don't know what 'evolution' means.

One theory is that the big bang created the earth as a solid mass but it was very different then than it is today... there was no oxygen and it was very dark (although there was lightening) and there were only a few elements in the air I think Carbon and Nitrogen were two of the three (it's kind of hard to remember back to high school bio even though it was only two years ago lol) anyway the elements probably combined with the lightening to create the first single celled organism which then evolved as the environment changed to become more of what it is today. They have done experiments where they created identical conditions to this and found that it is possible to spontaneously create a single celled organism with lightening and a few elements. I'm so sorry I don't remember all of the details but you can definitely read about it in the book "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson which will telll you all every basic science idea and even about evolution and stuff-- and it is so well written that it is totally fun to read. I read it in grade 10 and 6 years later I still remember that he specifically talked about where the first cell came from and he explains how they know what the atmosphere was like.

Evolutionism does not explain (or even try to) the origin of the first cell, only how all of the species come from a common ancestral.

Not all atheists support evolutionism/abiogenesis. There's plenty of theories regarding these subjects.
