Someone just asked an abortion question and a number of people said that the fetus is just a bunch of cells.
How can anyone look at the pics of a developing fetus and honestly claim its just a group of random cells?
Yeah there are other arguments for abortion, but focusing just on this one argument, can you really look at pics of a developing fetus, look at the anatomy and physiology of a developing fetus and honestly say its just a group of cells?
When you say its just a group of cells arent you being a bit intellectually dishonest just to try to make your point sound a little better?

Guess which animal embryos these are:
Then differentiate between those and a human embryo:

I haven't heard the argument that a fetus is just a bunch of cells. That would be incorrect. An *embryo* is a bunch of cells, albeit one that's slowly developing into a fetus. I also haven't heard the "ball of cells" claim associated with abortion - only stem cell research (where the cells are no longer stem cells after the "ball of cells" stage, so it's still accurate). Seeing as the argument isn't actually being made (at least not by serious pro-choice efforts), I don't see the intellectual dishonesty.
If you're going to call people out for intellectual dishonesty, look at the anti-choice side. It's being presented as if there's a huge number of late-term abortions being performed simply as a voluntary pregnancy termination. There are very few late-term abortions, and *all* of them are done for medical reasons (for the safety of the mother, or to remove a non-viable fetus).

Technically all living animals are just a bunch of cells no matter their stage of development, So no your not being intellectually dishonest, I'll give you that they are trying to make their point better but don't all groups do that, even you making your argument right now are trying to make your point sound a little better.
