I hate biology! Okay so, the question is: explain the importance the kidneys play in regulating water balance.

I've looked all over the web and can't find anything that I understand! Sooo, thanks in advance!

It controls the amount of water in your blood. If there is too much water in your blood, it passes it to the bladder and you urinate it. If your blood has too little water, it absorbs the water to your blood.

It also controls the amount of salt in your body. by absorbing or passing it to the bladder to be urinated.

Osmoregulation is the simple answer. When there is not enough water, a hormone known as ADH is released from the blood, which acts on the walls of the collecting duct in the kidneys to increase their reabsorbtion of water. When there is too much water, the hormones is not released. Rate as best : )

Not sure how detailed you want it but here is the basic:
Inside the kidney are hundreds of small capsules that the blood capillaries meet. And here occurs osmosis and other cell transport that moves some fluid out of blood system into the capsule. The capsules send the fluid through its duct (Nephron system) and the fluid eventually meet in the main cavity of kidney. The fluid flows down to the urinary bladder through a ureter duct, and that's how we piss.
