Is it possible that our universe came from another dimension?

answers:
CarolOklaNola say: Yes, that is very possible.
-
nineteenthly say: Brane theory suggests that the Universe was formed by the collision of two "bubbles" of space-time in hyperspace, so yes.
-
duke_of_urls say: Anything that came from another dimension would only be a line segment.
-
Ronald 7 say: Yes
The one where Meg Griffin was hot
like 32 D

say: Our universe is one dimension and other universes are other dimensions. Some dimensions cross our planet. Ghosts on Earth. Jinn.

Adullah M say: There are two dimensions that can be considered, one is permanent or infinity, the other is temporary or being finite.
This means that ,the four entities of the four dimensions of Energy ,Mass, Space and Time of the former condition of that Universe would be in the state of eternity and the later one would become temporary, having the beginning and the end.
So to say , the temporary universe would finally come to its end, when the dimension of time become zero ,then that would remain
is the only permanent universe of having Time dimension of eternity, this means that Energy ,mass, and Space of that universe would become infinity too. Its follows that every thing hat exist in that infinite universe would become infinity too. So all lives that exist in that universe ,especially all human being, whom they have been transferred to dwell in that heavenly and hellish places ,would have to be subjected to the infinity or eternity of that four dimensions as well.

Zardoz say: No. You're misunderstanding what a dimension is. Our universe has multiple dimensions within it.
Think of it a little like this. Say there is a Omniverse. The Omniverse is the set of all possible dimensions. Within the Omniverse fields and excitations are not homogenous. In some volumes some set of fields are excited while in neighboring volumes other sets of field are excited. We don't know how many possible fields there are nor how many different combinations of fields can develop into a universe that can make sense of itself (conscious minds develop). We know we developed in one such set having three open spatial dimensions, one open temporal dimension and at least seven curled up dimensions.
The Universe didn't come out of a dimension but began when this peculiar set of dimensions combined as they did within a volume of the Omniverse.

Jeffrey K say: There is no evidence that another dimension exists. The term Dimension isn't even well defined.
-
Damon Lyon say: Yes.
