Believe me I would LOVE for there to be alien life - any life - I don't care how lowly or simple. It would be a find of staggering importance. I wholly support efforts involved in looking for it. Even negative results are useful as they can help to define the width of the goalposts we are aiming for.
But I don't believe in compromising my reason in order to make it true in my head. I'm certainly not about to listen to the childish telltales of UFO hunters and abductee claimants who are busy earning 5 figure sums selling books and after dinner talks to the terminally gullible.

CarolOklaNola say: STOP IT. I am NOT convinced that there in no life on other planets. Far from it. STOP projecting YOUR ignorance AND INTOLERANCE and hatred and transferring it onto me. This is what bullies ALWAYS DO. They pick a fight INTENTIONALLY just to get attention from other people so their egos get fed like heroin or meth addict who is desperate for gix./ I am NOT convinced that there is no life on other planets. STOP TELLING me what i believe or do NOT believe. Ignorant people who pick fights online need to go back to grade school BEFORE they lost their curiosity. of course they may have been abused even befor e they started school and that is WHY they are incurably ignorant.
"...Very much as a drug addict would react to the absence of his particular drug. The dwindling or absence of supply is a trauma and the narcissist experiences post-traumatic stress....When narcissism thus fails as a defense mechanism, the narcissist develops paranoid delusions: self-directed confabulations which place him at the center of others' allegedly malign attention. The narcissist becomes his own audience and self-sufficient as his own, sometimes exclusive, source of narcissistic supply.
