If you are passenger n vehicle that moving at a steady velocity, you and the vehicle are moving at the same speed, but the road signs and the vehicles in the other lanes may be moving at different speeds and accelerations RELATIVE TO YOU AND YOUR VEHICLE. If the driver of the vehicle or the vehicle changes direction your speed accelerate or decelerates and the the semicircular canals in your ears feel that deceleration or acceleration while your upper body wants to keep going in sht SAME DIRECTION AT THE SAME SPEED before the vehicle starts to turn. That's inertia.. You and the vehicle are in motion and you wan stay in motion in the same direction unless there is another force,, the vehicle decelerating as well as changing direction.. YOU are at the center of your own subjective universe. so is everyone else. YOU define your inertial frame of reference and you are at the origin point of your own personal coordinate system that "defines your personal subjective universe.around YOU.

the earth is NOT accelerating, it is NTY cahing speed.

Zardoz say: As far as our acceleration towards the Sun we can't feel it because every atom in our bodies is accelerating at 6 mm/s² towards the Sun just like the Earth is. We're not following the Earth in its orbit around the Sun but are ourselves in orbit around the Sun. We'd not feel it no matter how fast the acceleration was.
