What happens if a air plane flies into space

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 13-08-11] [Hit: ]
its propeller, rudder, elevator, flaps, ailerons and wings would do nothing useful. Neil-If it is airtight and has enough force to leave the atmosphere it would simply stop.......

In effect, if a rocket-propelled aircraft was capable of reaching sufficient speed and altitude to enter space then it shouldn't really be called an aircraft.

Those are good answers except I don't think the Bible even infers that we cannot go into space.
Air planes have a ceiling altitude where they cannot go any higher (less than 50 kilometers) due to too little air.
If you used a rocket to get an airplane to orbit, it's propeller, rudder, elevator, flaps, ailerons and wings would do nothing useful. Neil

If it is airtight and has enough force to leave the atmosphere it would simply stop. There is no air in space to exert force on the plane and cause lift which makes the plane fly. That is why rockets and space shuttles have massive rocket engines because traditional wings and turbines don't do anything in a vacuum. Hope this helps!

Aeroplanes powered by air-breathing engines can't make it into space.
The rocket-powered X-15 which was dropped at altitude by a B-52 was sort of at the "edge" of space.
Virgin Galactic's Space Ship Two will be somewhat similar although it will have more people and be a bit more comfortable.

That said, Simon Black did it, and in a modified flying boat no less.

You should read "Star Smashers of the Galaxy Rangers" by Harry Harrison. The Universe is saved by a cheese sandwich. Oh, sorry... spoilers.

In the book, an ordinary 747 is teleported into space and hilarity ensues. Sorta.

It wouldn't be an airplane then as there is no air in space. The concept of a space plane that could fly higher and faster till it reached orbit was the first approach tried which culminated in the X-15

-
Not possible cos it cannot escape earths gravity. Hypothetically if the plane is in space then everyone inside gonna be exposed to lethat dose of radiation.

-
It's impossible, it has no heat shield to protect itself from the atmosphere, so it would burn up before even reaching space.

-
First it can't go that high but if it was in space it wold shut off because the jets bern air and ther is no air in space

-
Do you mean literally? It's not possible if so.

-
Impossible, we've never been to space. Its all a hoax proprted by the Zionist agenda reptilians to steer you away from god. the only thing in space is heaven
