What happens to the matter that the dark energy pushes away? I mean if there is an endless cycle of branes colliding what happens to the matter and energy already produced? Or would that mean that each dimension is infinite and there is an infinite amount of energy?

Spacetime expands to the point that it is expanding faster than the speed of light (special relativity does NOT constrain how fast space-time can expand). All other galaxies go beyond that point relative to the Milky Way and we are left alone with the rest of the universe beyond our sight.
