A simple question but one needing a complex answer. Why? Why do things happen? Why are we here? Why do we know so little about our past? Why is there any thing at all? I am no atheist but sometimes I wonder. I've been told god created everything, but if he gave us free will, shouldn't we be asking questions like these? I am not only looking for just religious answers but any sort of answer, scientifically or religious. So I again ask why?
A burden is to mention why but not to ask how.

Do you really expect anyone to give you answers to these questions? Man have been trying to answer them for ages. Even if you get answers, would you find them satisfying? Probably not. The answers other will give you probably won't feel right for you. You can also just accept some of these questions have no answers.
Your question was placed in the wrong category. All your questions can't be answered by science, except the one about why we know so little: there is a lot to be known and we have limited capabilities. If you take the scientific point of view, humans are basically hairless apes so the fact we know what we already know is amazing.
All the other questions are of philosophical nature. They can't be answered by science because they are not the type of questions science intends to answer. There is no way to set up an experiment, for example to determine the meaning of life.
However, in science no question should be left unanswered, so if you apply the same mindset to other fields, you should look for answers to your questions. You will probably never find them but sometimes just the journey is worth the effort, you know... I also think no god or religion should expect you to bury your questions and pretend they don't exist. I'm an atheist but I think religion has something to do with being honest with yourself.
