Scientists know that 21 December 2012 is the day of solstice. In the western world, in the northern hemisphere, this day will mark the official (calendar) start of winter. In most asian cultures, it marks the approximate middle of winter.

In ancient cultures (including, for example, the Mayan culture of a thousand years ago) it marked the start of the common year (Mayans would have celebrated New Years Day on that day).

The Big 2012 Hoax is NOT from scientists, and no scientist believes in any of it.

This NASA scientist is calling "2012 Doomsday" a hoax.

Scientists, especially those in the psychiatric professions, are strongly predicting that the gullible people of this world, who believe doomsday predictions, will have their gullibility exposed for all to see.
