Questions about our universe

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-08-13] [Hit: ]
The cooling of our universe is due to the diffusion of heat throughout it. As our universe gets bigger and bigger, it will get colder and colder as well.3. Yes. Google Glise 5814.......

I'll answer the ones I can

1) It's now believed that the Universe will expand forever, as it isn't at a critical mass density to allow for it to collapse back in on itself (big crunch)
2) That's not necessarily true
3) Might be! We have scientists working on this everyday. There are a few suspects currently though, try checking out a planet called Gliese
4) What exactly do you mean? As in manned or robotic missions to those stars? Because they're such great distances away. Our closest star would take us around 10,000 years to reach with our fastest space craft. We'd also have to figure out a way to sustain such a craft for so long (the fuel needed would be immense, and not feasible). We'd also have to think about how to maintain human life on that craft which would mean all passengers, and their offspring would have to agree, for the sake of the mission, to reproduce with their designated partner.

1. There's a limit because eventually the Universe will end. Just Google the end of the universe
2. Space is expanding, not the matter. The cooling of our universe is due to the diffusion of heat throughout it. As our universe gets bigger and bigger, it will get colder and colder as well.
3. Yes. Google Glise 581
4. We don't have the tech to get there.
5. Unsure

1ans:it expands since it is filled with mix of gases
2:as hot gas expands it cools the same same way
3:yes definitelyy there is a planet like earth think big bang theory
4: because it is many light years away of distance hence we cant
5: i don't know .

1) It is believed that there will be a big crunch (when all the galaxies come together)
2) Probably because the heat made from the big bang is being lost as it expands.
3) Maybe. No-one knows.
4) Because they'd probably be frozen dead by the time they make it.
5) Don't Know

-
1. The multiverse. Refer to cosmologists for the full theory.
2. Interstellar friction lessens
3. Yes
4. The voyager one has trouble moving out of and into galaxies, let alone our own. (our sight reaches 42 billion light years; maybe at the edge of the cosmos?)
5. dont know

-
1) unknown
2) All fires do grow colder with time, has nothing to do with expansion.
3) Yes
4 )Distance
5) Comprehension

-
You just asked questions that haven't even been answered yet

-
You can't explain that.
