Do you think space exploration is worth the money and fuels that it's costing? Do we really have to know what's out there, or could we be concentrating more on what's happening here on earth?

Yes, I do believe that space travel is worth it. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a star ship captain, exploring the cosmos and braving unexplored systems. Space flight intrigues me. All the possibilities. Everything that can be done for humanity. What an honor to go and explore the final frontier.
Perhaps there is a planet, far off, that grows plants that can cure horrible diseases if ingested. Or maybe a planet and its moons suitable for human life, encase the Earth becomes uninhabitable. Perhaps a new race that is more advanced in technology than humans, and would be willing to help. And then all of the things that we don't even know that we don't know! Anything is possible.
I think we should know what is out there, so that we can help matters on Earth. No need to fight about boundaries; each country can have it's own planet. World political conflicts could be helped massively by giving every conflicting group a planet in a different system. So many things could be earned by space flight, and I am ready to become part of it for the US, for the World, for Humanity!

Personally, I like having a lot of the technology that space exploration has led to. For instance, the Space Shuttle alone has given more than 100 separate spinoff technologies. http://www.sti.nasa.gov/tto/shuttle.htm
Yes, it is worth it - if not for anything else, then for human curiosity and technology development.

Space exploration is definitely worth it, especially considering the fact that, NASA's budget is a 100 times lower than what we spend on the military alone.

I like your systems very.I think it worth it.
