Zombification? Is it real

Just wanted to know this. Are zombies real ? Is it scientifically possible ? One of my friend says a bunch of viruses can resurrect a dead person. He is kind of a crazy nerdy guy. I dont believe him.
And also I heard about a zombie dog in oklahoma. Is it real ?

Viruses such as rabies can make people become a little crazy, 'zombie-like', going around biting and infecting people, but they don't look like rotting zombies, don't kill other people, and can get better.
