I know that they won't keep me too warm so I'll get the rain boot liners, but will I slip if I wear them in the snow. I'm in California and I've never been in snow so I'm not sure what shoes to take. Thanks!

No, rain boots will work fine in snow, but be very careful on ice - that stuff is SLIPPPPERY! If you're wearing ice skates, you only slide forward and backward, but without footwear with metal, (or hard plastic) spikes, on ice you can slide in all directions - at once! (That's when your right foot goes east, your left foot goes West and your butt goes South - all at once - and everybody around you laughs!) But rain boots will work fine on snow.

In snow it will not slip, on ice it has the potential to if the boots do not have hard (such as metal or hard plastic) stubs on the bottom of the sole.
