If it has been going on a while, then it still may be a Poltergeist, but not triggered by you, or your sister. Usually, when a girl hits her teens, she can "feed" a spirit with energy to do things like this. It happens less to boys, but isn't unheard off. Traditionally, you see, girl's are more repressed than boys, so there is more stored up energy to break loose.
If you think about it, doesn't it act like a practical joker would? It hasn't harmed you, or her, so it isn't a demon or evil. It doesn't stalk you, just tricks you.
You can live with it, tell it to leave or cut out the games, or move. And, like most monkeys,, they loose interest if you don't get upset or freak out. You can also try to banish them or play the game back, if you're up to it. However, I usually have great luck with telling them to stop it. :)

Start by smudging the house with white sage and then look up the history of the land that your house is on. Sounds like Native American activity but it could be many other things. Historians, Tax Collectors Office, The Library will have old paper clippings on disc or microfish for you to do your research. Or talk to some people that have lived in the area all there lives, maybe there parents told them something.
You may even find some Tribe Information online. For some reason a old train station comes to mind and that would make sense because the mail was picked up on horse from a train station for smaller towns. But these places where also trading posts.
