The other day, my sister and I were playing around on our laptops in my room, and I video called her, while she was sitting next to me. All of a sudden we both heard a faint voice in the background saying "help me". It kinda scared us a little, so that night I slept with her in her room.
My boyfriend constantly tells me that when I call him he can hear a sort of raspy sound in the background, as if there is a wind blowing that continues to get stronger...the funny thing is he only hears this when I call him from my bedroom.
When my family and I first moved into our house, I would watch t.v. in the living room at night, and sometimes fall asleep. I remember one night, I was home alone, and I fell asleep laying on the couch with the t.v. remote in my hand. I remember waking up because I had dropped the remote, but I quickly went back to sleep. When I woke up the next morning, the t.v. was shut off, the remote was placed on top of the t.v. and i had a blanket on me. I know for a fact I had not gotten up and done those things myself.
Is there a way I can check to see if my house is haunted?

Most of what you are describing sounds like fully normal phenomena. Background noise on a phone can have multiple causes, including interference from problem wiring or other appliances, although if it is primarily from one area I would first check the wiring. As for a blanket being placed over you and a remote moving onto the television, that sounds a lot like the actions of a parent.

Leave a piece of paper and a pen in a room nobody sleeps in and write on it "who dwells in my humble abode?" Wait until morning to see if you have a response. You should also leave some snacks and chocolate milk. Everybody loves chocolate milk.

Those types of things happened to me too, except many times I have seen some of the spirits, and one does move my blanket a lot and she touches me a lot, but she is nice. But you haven't had enough experiences to say for sure, but it does sound like it having experienced some of those things you speak about....at first I didn't see them, until they knew I knew, so then one made herself known, and we have had communications. Haunting and come and go as some spirits do travel from other dimensions. Depends on the type spirit depends on the type of haunt.
