Please help me understand, did my son really see my deceased mom

My mom passed away a year ago it was really difficult for me to accept but eventually I have. I moved to a different state and my son just recently moved back to New York. I have never really seen my mom after she passed away only in dreams. My son tell me today that my moms visited him last night. I am freaking out because me and my sister have not seen her in spirit. I keep a picture of my mom in the kitchen and live in a house but have never really felt her presence. I pray every night and sometimes stay up all night until after 3:00 a.m then fall asleep. My son said that he felt someone sitting by the end of his couch and he turned and thought it was my brothers girlfriend but that he saw her (I guess he's referring to my moms) He said she looked at him and smiled and he felt like he couldn't yell or scream or breathe. Did he have a nightmare and thought he saw my mom or was it a spirit visiting him (possibly my moms)? I don't know what to believe because I have never in my life seen a spirit. Please any advice is helpful

Well, Biancalis, I´ll talk to you from a Biblical point of view. According to it, the dead cannot appear to the living. -Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10; Psalm 146:3.

On the other hand, there are some wicked spirit creatures who want us to believe the dead are alive. These creatures are called demons. By impersonating the dead, they make people to be under their influence and will. Inquiring of the dead, performing divination, messing with tarot cards etc., are just baits demons use to have people under their control. No wonder God condemned whoever practiced those things. -Deuteronomy 18:10-14.

Ephesians 6:11, 12 says:
"Put on the complete suit of armor from God that YOU may be able to stand firm against the machinations of the Devil; 12 because we have a wrestling, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places."
