How to make bread mold

Help!! this is for my science fair and its been a week. I am testing store bought whole grain and white bread... I know about the preservatives but Nov. 8 was the Best before date.. I keep both bread in a zip loc bag with 1 table spoon of water. I closed the bag loosely so mold spore can enter, but now the edges are hard. Still no mold.. today I rubbed my breads on the kitchen floor, got some dust from under the sofa, rubbed it on corner of hallway & bathroom...Now my bread bag is closed completely shut. I am putting it on a counter, before i put it near the window.. !! Do you think it will mold before the last 2 weeks of december because that's when my science fair is due. Any ideas on how to make my bread mold?!?!?!

You can't MAKE bread mold, the spores have to have the best conditions, which for mold is damp and warm.

I used 2 litre square ice cream containers to grow my mold. Too dry and it does not grow well, too damp and it gets more slimey than mouldy.

What are you using as a control? eg a piece of bread left in air or left in a bread bag to compare. Also you should have replicates in case you do not get any growth or have 2 or 3 different conditions to see what is best to grow mold on. eg in the dark, in humid conditions (hot water cylinder), cool damp. etc etc

The best might be to leave several pieces of bread in the bread bag and leave them for a week in that. It seems to grow it easy as!!

go to the store and get a loaf of bread that says its no preservatives added, moist and warm environment , like put the bread in a plastic bag and keep it onder a light for heat.

hmmm, i know mold spreads in humid places and whatnot.... but even more interesting is that white bread is so incredibly bad/ unealthy for you that cockroaches wont eat it
