My birthday is January 18th and I can remember my last birthday fell on Tuesday that I was right when I checked on January 2011 on my calendar. I know 2012 will be the next leap year because I can remember 2008 was the last leap year. I saw the calendar of January 2012 on the internet and my next birthday will fall on Wednesday. I was confused because I thought my next birthday will fall on Thursday because leap years will move next two days. I also checked in the year of 2013 on the internet that year won't have a leap year. On January 2013 said my other birthday will fall on Friday in that year and I was also confused because 2013 isn't a leap year.

So, from Jan 18, 2011 to Jan 18, 2012 is 365 days. 365 days = 52 weeks, plus one day, so your birthday in 2011 was on a Tuesday. So, 365 days later is a Wednesday. But between Jan18, 2012 and Jan 18, 2013 you have 366 days, so the day will fall,not on the Thursday (365 days later), but on the Friday (366 days later). If your birthday had been on, say, March 16 (a Tuesday), 2011, then it would fall on a Thursday in 2012.
The secret, or trick, is where your birthday falls relative to the added day in February: before, then you "jump" a day in the following year; if after, then in the actual leap year.
