Can i take melatonin for a week straight?

I was wondering if I could take melatonin for a week straight

I take melatonin daily, on recommendation from my sleep specialist. I have DSPS (Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome) and wouldn't be able to sleep at a normal time without it. There are no side effects; it just helps set off the brain's "it's time for sleep" trigger.

There are people who have taken melatonin every night for YEARS at a time. It is in my opinion a very safe drug, and naturally occurring in your body to begin with. You have been making small amts of your own melatonin all your life.
