Would this cause severe liver damage

and for a single overdose the main damage would be to your kidneys, by cutting down on the blood supply to the kidneys.Acetaminophen (Tylenol, Panadol) has a fraction of each dose converted into the cell toxic substance NAPQI by oxidation. The liver makes and stores an antidote to NAPQI like poisons, but it has a limited capacity to do this.......
Would taking 45 500mg naproxen pills damage the liver? I'm asking this solely ut of curiosity, so please...no anti suicide answers. I just want to know if that would cause major damage the way Tylenol or Aleve would.

Naproxen acts like aspirin, and for a single overdose the main damage would be to your kidneys, by cutting down on the blood supply to the kidneys.

Acetaminophen (Tylenol, Panadol) has a fraction of each dose converted into the cell toxic substance NAPQI by oxidation. The liver makes and stores an antidote to NAPQI like poisons, but it has a limited capacity to do this. Too large or too frequent dosing of acetaminophen will deplete the antidote stores (glutathione) and once that happens the liver and other organs get damaged.

Acetaminophen is a major cause of death due to liver failure, and many small poisonings go unnoticed but the damage adds up over time, eventually these kinds of chronic users get ascites, google images of it to see what it looks like.

Dosing guidelines for acetaminophen are about sales not safety, I would not use it, it should be banned all together.

Scince Naproxen is an NSAID drug yes if you took them all at once it would cause damage to the liver but if you took them as prescribed you would be fine. Only if you overdose on an NSAID and Acetomphenmine it can cause damage to the liver. Hope this helps!

Yes, if taken at one time. Naproxen, Aleve, Acetominophen (Tylenol), non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, Ibuprofen, etc. are harmful to the liver when taken in large doses.
