I hope that your medication helps you to feel good again, what I would really really recommend is to do regular exercise if this is before the SRRI kicks or after it has and you are feeling happier. By exercising this helps to metabolise hormones and lowering the amount of time your body is in stress mode also this helps you to build confidence in yourself and your body.
Thanks and I wish you luck!
I am 18 and had to take anti-depressants, I found that they improved my anxiety, and did not cause me to become suicidal at all, if the doctor has prescribed them to you then you should take them, if they make you feel worse then go back and speak to your doctor about it and you can discuss other options, I was worried about taking them at first but honestly, the only side effect that I had was that they made me really tired, although people are affected by things in different ways.
i would be hesitant to take those until i had no other option - ive been prescribed anti - d's before but never took them , if you can deal with your anxiety slowly without them you will be the better for it in the long run , over coming an axiety by yourself will help in the future if it happens again ..
pills are are a good alternative if you need them ,
but facing your anxiety head on without chemicals is a life lesson you'll need to learn eventually....
