{(x,y): x, y E Z, y = x^4}

a) Is the relation a function? Why or why not?
b) What are its domain and range?
c) Is the function one-to-one? Why are why not?
d) Is the function onto? Why are why not?

Thanks in advance:)

GunsUpTech has A) and B) correct.

C) No. 2 and -2 for x both map to 16 for y, so not 1-1.
D) No. Because there is no x value such that x^4 = 2 (for example), because except for 0 and 1, an integer raised to the 4th power is larger than 2.

A) Yes, there is only one y for every x.
B) Domain is all real numbers, Range is all real numbers greater than or equal to 0.
C) Yes. There is one y for every x and one x for every y.
D) I have no idea what this means
