Hello! I've gotten stuck trying to solve a logarithm equation. I'm solving for x in the equation log(base x) X^5=5, but the end result I keep reaching is x^5=x^5. Is this the correct answer? If not, could someone please explain how to arrive at the correct answer?
Thanks!
Thanks!

your answer is correct, you just gotta interpret it a different way. since you get x^5= x^5 by exponentiating with base x, you get x^5= x^5. if you subtract x^5 from both sides, you get 0=0, which is obviously true, which means that ANY real x value (such that the log is defined) will wok. Now, some values like -1 are not allowed for logarithms, only positive values NOT equal to 0. so the answer would be all numbers > 0 except 1
