if you put -n + 5 = 10then the answer will have to be -5. They are different.......
Suppose a solution of an equation is a number n. Is it possible for -n to also be a solution of this equation.If not explain why or why not. If so give an example of such an equation and its solutions n and -n
Please help with this problem

Not all the time. -n means the opposite sign of a number. n + 5 = 10 n=5
if you put -n + 5 = 10 then the answer will have to be -5. They are different.
