First factor by 2

2(x^4 + 7x^2 + 12)

Now say that y = x²

2(y² + 7y + 12)

You can use quadratic formula or see that 12 = 3*4 and 7 = 3+4

2(y+3)(y+4)

Now come back to x

2(x²+3)(x²+4)

You cannot factor (x²+4) nor (x²+4) so that's all.
