hello everyone,
when insturctions say to find the product of the polynomial , such as the example shown below,
(-x)(8x^3 - 12x^2) ------ ( Note: x^3 and x^2 means cubed and squared )
do you simply have to distribute -x through the problem? My mind completely went blank and I just want to make sure that I am doing the problem correctly.
Thanks

Yes, you are right.
Inthis example, the answer would be: -8x^4 -12x^3
