I swear my IQ is higher than a turnip. But I loose it when it comes to math.I need to till ( for a garden ) 50sq foot.I need to do a square. What are the dimensions ? Again I'm sorry for asking such a stupid question the only reason I'm asking is cause it's the inter-net.Save some typing cause I will forget the formula within 5 min.Again I'm sorry

If you want the garden to be square, it will be just a hair over 7ft on each side. 7*7 = 49 sq ft.
If you want it to be rectangular, not necessarily square, any two dimensions whose product is 50 will get you the area:
1 foot wide by 50 feet long = 50 ft²
2 feet x 25 feet
3 feet x 16 ft 8 inches
4 feet x 12 ft 6 inches
5 feet x 10 feet
6 feet x 8 feet 4 inches
7 feet x 7 feet (approximately)

First of all that other kid is freakin retarted caus a square has equal sides so he's obviously wrong. There are technically two answers depending on how you meant it. If you meant square feet then the squares sides would be 50 each but if you mean it as area then it would be the square root of 50 which can be simplified to 5 Sqrt 2 since it's not a perfect square

If you have to do a square then you need dimensions of 5√2 ft x 5√2 ft

5x10
Or 10x5 if you prefer!
