10 pts if you help me solve it. Thank you.-The answer is 4 and 6.you just find two numbers that will multiply to get 24,I had to do a problem like this too. I was so confused at first!......
So it is a word problem and it is asking, "Write an equation that could be used to find two consecutive even integers whose product is 24. Let x represent the first integer. Solve the equation and give the two integers". I have no idea how to even start this. Any help would be appreciated, 10 pts if you help me solve it. Thank you.

The answer is 4 and 6.

the reason is because xy=24
you just find two numbers that will multiply to get 24, and then figure out if they're even (obvious) and consecutive (one after the other)

I had to do a problem like this too. I was so confused at first!
