The graph show f '. So the slope of f ' is f ''
C) when f ' is increasing, going up, then f '' is positive, so f(x) is concave up:
(1,3)U (5,7)U (8,9)
D) When f ' is decreasing, coming down, then f '' is negative, so f(x) is concave down:
(0,1)U (3,5)U (7,8)
E) inflection points are where f '' = zero, so f ' graph has horizontal tangent lines. Also there must be a change in concavity.
{ 1,3,5,7,8}
Hoping this helps!
