Solve for x.

x/7 - x/2 = 4 + 3x/14

This problem is also written
2x/14-7x/14 = 56/14+3x/14
(Do you understand why)
Subtract 3x/14 from both sides
2x/14-7x/14-(3x/14)=56/14+3x/14-(3x/14…
So this is
(2x-7x-3x)/14=56/14
Multiply both sides by 14
2x-7x-3x=56
-8x=56
X=56/(-8)

X=-7
