hey , its confusing me...the scene is ,
i have an item of selling price : 2750
and i know provider set 60% profit on this price i.e. 2750
calculating profit price,
2750x60/100 = 1650
calculating c.p. :
2750-1650 = 1100
and here is my problem , if cost price is 1100 then , when i set 60% on it ,
1100x60/100= 660 (profit)
now 1100(c.p.) + 660 (profit) = 1760 ?
hope u undrstand my problem ...
plese tell me where am i wrong \.
thanks in advance !!

2750 is 160% of the original amount.
=> 1.6x = 2750
=> x = 2750/1.6 = 1,718.75
Your mistake is the part where you say 2750 x 60/100.....which is actually working out 60% of 160%...which doesn't give 100%...the original amount.

Hmm..i'm not very gud at all this...but here goes
let the Cost price be x
so the Selling price is Costprice + 60% of costprice
x+60/100x = 2750
after LCM
100x+60x=2750 * 100
160x=275000
x=27500/160
x=1718.75
and cost price is 1718.75
let the Cost price be x
so the Selling price is Costprice + 60% of costprice
x+60/100x = 2750
after LCM
100x+60x=2750 * 100
160x=275000
x=27500/160
x=1718.75
and cost price is 1718.75
