I failed geometry, first semester, if I do good this semester and take summer school would they put me in algebra 2?

It's a possibility. Each school is going to have it's own policy on how to handle classes and situations like this. Typically, the order is Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, but it's also common for Geometry to be after Algebra 2. I would think that there is no reason why not, but you should check with the guidance counselor before looking any further.

What were your Algebra scores? That is the key question. There is little geometry in Alg 2 and what I would ask if I were the department head.

No. You would be put in algebra 1 if you're lucky and pass the summer school course.
