I need an equation,Complementary not complimentary.-Thank you---good luck.The two angles are 60 and 90-60 = 30 degrees-Let one angle be x.Then the other angle is 2x.x = 30 degree.......
Two angles that are complimentary if their sum is 90 degrees. Find the measures of two complimentary angles if one angle is twice the other.
I need an equation, I tried everything and it doesn't work :(

-
(2x) + x = 90
3x = 90
x = 30

Angles are 30° and 60°

PS
Complementary not complimentary.

Thank you---good luck.

-
Let one angle be x
The other angle must be 90 - x (since their sum is 90 degrees being complementary)
Let x = 2(90 - x)
Solve for x
x = 180 - 2x
3x = 180
x = 60
The two angles are 60 and 90-60 = 30 degrees

-
Let one angle be x.
Then the other angle is 2x.[twice the other]
2x + x = 90 [sum of the angles must be 90 as they are complementary]
3x = 90
x = 30 degree.

2x = 2(30)
= 60 degree

HOpe this helped

-
if one angel is x
then other angle is 2x

their sum equals to 90

x+2x = 90
3x = 90
x = 30

then one angle is 30 degrees and other is 60 degrees
