We're supposed to name 3 vertices that make an equilateral triangle. So I picked A(0,0), B(4,4), and C(4,0). But that makes AC and BC both equal to 4, but AB the sqrt(8). Help!!!!!!!!

Your problem is that these points make a right triangle and by defintion the hypotenuse will be longer than the other two sides. If you consistently choose interger's for the sides you'll have the same problem.
Try these points: A(0, 0), B(2,√12), and C(4, 0).
Plug those into the distance formula and see what you get.
