I suppose you could say that, but then again, you could say that about almost anything. For example, Spanish levels 1 to 4 is just one long Spanish course split into 4 parts. Biology is really just chemistry applied to a cellular level. Chemistry is just physics applied to a molecular level. Physics is mathematics applied to real-world observations.
The main idea with calculus courses though is to build off of what you learn from the previous course. Of course, if one were to take a two-year long course without breaks covering the entirety of calculus 1 to 3, then I'm sure it could be done.
