I'm stranded on an Island with only a limited supply of oranges, should I eat the peels

Obviously That's not 100% true but let's just say I'm stuck on this island for 6 months and have only 90 oranges and just to make it interesting 3 limes. Should I eat the peels.?

I am thinking they would not sit well on the stomach????? Making you nausea--upset the stomach--even give you diarrhea. But if your stomach can tolerate them. yes, by all means eat them.

Did you mean to ask that if you were stranded with only oranges and those in limited supply that...
Or did you mean only limited number of oranges and lots of other food? lol
Orange peel contains some toxic chemicals. I do not know whether you'd be better off eating the peel or not. A large orange contains less than 100 calories, (excluding the peel, I believe). So even if you had a source of water, you'd have to eat 6 -8 a day. Given 90 oranges, you'd have at best two weeks. I would probably scrape the pith and leave the rind. The extra calories (and protein) from the outer orange peel wouldn't/t make much difference in that span of time.

The peels are good for you. It is still natural, blah, blah. Unless they got poisoned, why not eat them! You would have to survive, so eat what you get.

i did a quick calculation and came to the conclusion that youl be fine if you eat 0.49 oranges a day. basically eat half of an orange daily!

And why would 3 limes be interesting?

Hell ya cause u get the vitamins more from the skin
